International Board Certified Lactation Consultant

Services
I am most inspired by the connections I make with clients and the satisfaction from helping new parents meet their feeding goals. Babies are excellent communicators. By acting as conduit between baby and mother, I seek to strengthen their bond and ability to understand each other. Please see below to learn more about my offerings.

Prenatal Consultation
Before the baby arrives, parents often invest time and energy into preparing for the one moment of birth. Less commonly do they spend time preparing for the days, weeks, and months that follow. Preparing for postpartum and beyond includes learning how to feed your baby.
Breastfeeding is a learned skill, so time spent preparing for what is to come is particularly valuable. The more education you have ahead of your baby's birth, the better prepared you will feel.
A prenatal consultation is tailored to your individual questions, needs, and concerns. We discuss what the first days of breastfeeding will be like, identify any risk factors, and talk through strategies for successful outcomes. This visit is approximately 90 minutes and offered either in your home or over telehealth.

Postpartum Consultation
Even though breastfeeding is the biological norm, difficulties can arise. When feeding is not going smoothly, getting help early can provide quick relief and minimize complications.
An initial postpartum visit is approximately two hours long. During this time, I gather a full history, do an assessment of both mother and baby, weigh the baby (both pre and post feeding to evaluate intake) and observe a feeding so that I can address any issues you are experiencing. Together, we develop a personalized plan for meeting your goals, which I will send to you following our visit. Follow-up communication via text/email/phone is included in the first week after we meet.
Additional postpartum visits are 90 minutes to two hours long, and follow-up communication for the first week is included.
If you live in the Los Angeles area, all postpartum visits are provided in your home. If you are outside of the area, telehealth consultations are available.
